Band Day Blast 2014

Welcome! I am thrilled to have our newest and most seasoned alumni join us for our 51st Annual Reunion! It has been an adventurous journey during 2014 from Mack Brown retiring to welcoming Charlie Strong, prepping Alumni Band's first international London trip with Bertha in tow, and saying goodbye to our beloved director and friend, Vincent R. DiNino. This year's show theme will be a tribute to Mr. DiNino for all his outstanding work and life's accomplishments. I hope you will join us as we honor him with a grand performance!

This year our annual business meeting & playing rehearsal will be held at St. David's Church. Based on last year's survey feedback and the limited practice time for Saturday's rehearsal, we have decided to have our scholarship presentation on Friday night. Saturday, Oct. 18th check- in will be at the Band Hall with marching rehearsal continuing at the Bubble. Sunday, October 19th will be Mr. D's Memorial Service at the Bass Concert Hall followed by a reception at Scholz's. Click here for the weekend schedule.

Your LHAB officers have been working diligently behind the scenes to make Band Day a success. They could definitely use a pat on the back and an extra hand. We are looking for volunteers who have a commitment to excellence, UT spirit, a positive can- do attitude, and willingness to collaborate with a diverse group of members.  If you're interested in being an officer, assisting with rehearsal as section leader, playing at local events in your area, or helping out with Band Day preparations, please drop us a line or indicate it on your registration form. Your time and talent are greatly appreciated.

Please take the time to update your profile on our site, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. All of the latest Band Day updates will be on www.lhab.org --->Band Day.
It has been a pleasure serving you and seeing your enthusiasm throughout the year. Thank you for making this organization feel like home. I know Vincent and Jane are proudly looking down on us as we continue their legacy of camaraderie and musical excellence. We anticipate having a historic, memorable weekend and welcome your attendance at any or all of the events.
